Amdocs Sderot
This project was completed before the onset of Corona in Israel, left untouched for one year until its opening at the beginning of 2021. It was designed for the grand Hi-Tech company “Amdocs” of Israel, a two-storey building covering 3,800 Sqm area, located in southern Israel.
The challenge of designing an open space working area with divided sub-spaces was solved by playing with transparent–opaque design in the form of glass petitions and patterned felt cloth ‘screens’, creating an open-closed effect. The felt material acts both as a sound absorber as well as a colorful design element.
In addition, the open workspace area was planned for the use of semi-transparent conference rooms made from glass and gypsum situated between rows of workstations, creating a cooperative working ‘neighborhood’.
We designed the public areas to duplicate the home effect by installing fully equipped and furnished kitchen, living room, play area and washrooms. Moreover, a centrally situated staircase adds to the comfort atmosphere of home combined with natural light from the surrounding windows, which was one of our central concerns for maintaining a healthy work environment.
The color scheme was carefully chosen in repetitious smoked pastel tones matching the company brand, and appears on the upholstery, carpets, wall color and the graphics throughout the entire design.
